Completing the square is a form of factoring that we can sometimes use to help solve quadratic equations, this video will describe a simple formula for this factoring technique.
Before we can begin the polynomial we are working with must have a 1 as the coefficient for the x^2 term. If there is a number in front of x^2, it must be factored out of the polynomial before we can start completing the square.
